Tarzan bed former power harrow has been developed for professional horticulture: its special design produces regular, well shaped trapezoidal beds. Power harrow tillage leads to ideal soil refinement for transplant or seeding with a good ratio between fine soil and small clods.

Tarzan configuration allows to create 1 bed having the following sizes: 1420 mm at the top, 1820 mm at the bottom (1620-2020 for 2000 version). The progressive shaping of the flanks makes the ridges’ sides stronger. Thanks to the machine configuration, every farmer will experience a perfect soil preparation with minimum power absorption. In particular, it will be achieved a balanced distribution of fine soil in depth and slightly bigger pieces on the surface, without the risk of creating hardpans.

Side skids that compact base of beds, are made of 20 mm thick, wear-resistent steel. Each skid is made of 2 element both bolted to flank: this allow an easy and quick replacement of worn out parts.

The tine rotors are all positioned at different angles which allow the power harrow to gradually dig into the soil reducing the vibration transmitted to the tractor and reducing peak loads on the driveline resulting in smoother operation and less fuel consumption.

QUICKPLUS

QUICKPLUS is a bolt on shield system. Assembling deflectors among the rotors-gear trough clearance, those prevents: stones, twines and debris colliding and wrapping on the rotors shafts. Remove deflectors is quick and easy to operate in no-stony conditions improving soil and residues flow.

Gearbox

Main gearbox is critically important to the machine, so it is made directly by Maschio Gaspardo to ensure consistency, strength and quality. Spare gears are available on machines to change rotation speed of tines.

Maschio’s basic rotor design is replicated throughout the range: tine shaft are made from a single casting of pressed steel. This confers rotors higher precision and durability comparing to alternative manufacturing.
