Since 2010, the Maschio Gaspardo Group has implemented a new eco-sustainable policy both at a product level, through the development of high efficiency agricultural machines, and at a process level, equipping its highly energy consuming plants with self-production systems from renewable sources and energy saving systems.
With the aim of reducing the associated CO2, all the interventions implemented in the energy field, have been committed to local companies, according to the '0 km' concept.
The investments have concerned the realization of a photovoltaic system with a power of 3.3 MWp over the roofs of the Italian plants, the interventions of structures insulation, the opening of skylights, and the introduction of monitoring and consumption reduction systems.
In Campodarsego, in the province of Padua, it has been implemented a photovoltaic system with a power of 1.3 MWp, made up of 5,726 modules, for a total surface of 22,000 sq m.
Before the starting of the works, more than 4,500 sq m of asbestos have been removed and tempered. At present, the emissions of CO2, have been reduced by 1.638 tons (18th April 2014).

In Cadoneghe, in the province of Padua, in summer 2012, a photovoltaic system, made up of 4,080 modules, with a power of 1.0 MWp, has been activated for a total surface of 15,000 sq m; more than 10,000 sq m of asbestos have been removed.
At present (18th April 2014), the CO2 emissions in the atmosphere have been reduced to 660 tons.
As in the other plants involved in the photovoltaic system, also in Cadoneghe insulation coverings have been installed in order to decrease the consumptions related to winter and summer air-conditioning.
Moreover, in summer 2012, in Morsano al Tagliamento, in the province of Pordenone, a photovoltaic system, made up of 4,080 modules, with a power of 1.0 MWp, has been implemented, for a total surface of 21,000 sq m; more than 15,000 sq m of asbestos have been removed.
At present (18th April 2014) the CO2 emissions have been reduced to 550 tons.
In addition, in this production site, feasibility studies have been undertaken for the future installations of insulation equipments.
